Helping Objects Tell Their Story: Mikey Mosher's Studio Spotlight

By Kate Parvenski

Kate is the Director of Content for Testudo and a Brooklyn-based multimedia producer with a passion for art and storytelling. Her work focuses on documenting and showcasing artists working across a variety of mediums.

Merging roles as a designer, builder, and arranger, Mikey Mosher crafts narratives that explore the interplay of meaning and spirituality in everyday items. His work exposes the tangles of religion, capitalism, and systems of power while tendering cathartic avenues for play and physicality.

From his studio in the West Loop of Chicago, Mikey invites us to listen to the silent conversations between objects. Beginning with a focus on collage, his practice has expanded out into a variety of mediums including photography, sculpture, projection, design, and digital fabrication.
